…While a third remanded for assaulting student
He put a gun in a teenager’s face but today the accused tried to convince the court it was only a joke because the weapon wasn’t real. According to the sixteen year old boy, he and a friend were walking on Curl Thompson Street when two men rode up to them on bicycles. According to the youth, one of the men then reached into his pants, pulled out a small black pistol and told him not to run. The boy panicked and managed to escape. He reported the incident to police and cops later arrested nineteen year old Michael “Quacky” Foreman. Foreman appeared in Magistrate’s Court today where he pled not guilty to the charge of Aggravated Assault. Foreman told the judge that he was only playing with the teen but police say when they asked the accused to show them the “toy”, he told them he had destroyed it. Magistrate Roberto Ordonez decided to remand Foreman to Hattieville Prison until February twenty-seventh. Meanwhile cops say they are looking for the man they believe was Foreman’s accomplice, Albert Moody, to charge him with the same offence.
