Lova Boy, Punta Specialist, on tour
International Belizean sensation Lova Boy is back in Belize and he’s brought with him a tornado warning for the town of Punta Gorda. Today, the ever energized artist and show promoter stopped by our studios to talk about some of the shows kicking off this weekend in the south.
Glen Enriquez, Peini Promotions
“The first show will be for the teens. You know this is graduation season and we will have a special show for the teens. We’ve brought in Lova Boy, the tornado king, to come in and do something for them. It’s just to congratulate them for their hard work now that they are graduating; we want to send them off. This will be in Punta Gorda at the civic centre on Friday; show starts at seven and runs until ten. There will be another show the following night—this one to bring in father’s day. It will be at the sports complex in Punta Gorda. That starts at nine and will end at four in the morning. So we have a lot of giveaways, lot of surprises. Lova Boy will be here backed up by New Rebels. It’s just to give our fathers a threat. We always have mother’s day and big mother’s day functions so I think the fathers also deserve something special. So we brought in Lova Boy for that show.”
Andrea Polanco
“So I know you have Lova Boy. Definitely the energy wah higher than normal. Which other local artist we could expect to see there?’
Glen Enriquez
“Yes we are also showcasing other talents. We have Taprick from Dangriga and we have Continental Cat also on that ticket. So we want to start to promote our entertainers from Belize; the artist from Belize. We want to give them the spotlight that we think they deserve. So this will hopefully be a springboard for other big events featuring our Belizean artists. I think it’s time they get all the attention and all the appreciation that we supposed to give them.”
