New Supreme Court look to debut at Monday’s opening
Rounding out our courtroom reports is word that when the new legal year starts next week, Supreme Court Justices will look a little different. According to a press release from the Registrar, “judges will no longer wear wigs in court and in presiding over all cases they will wear black robes with white shirts, wing collars and bibs”. In addition, the Justices will also wear ceremonial robes in our national colours of blue and red. The opening of the Supreme Court will begin with a mass at nine at the Holy Redeemer Church followed by a traditional inspection of the guard in front of the courthouse.
