Opposition party appoints 2 new senators
And there are some changes in the representation of the People’s United Party in the Senate. In a release today, party leader, John Briceño, announced the appointment of Eamon Courtenay and Lisa Shoman as senators replacing Hector Silva Senior and Eiden Salazar respectively. Both Courtenay and Shoman, who have both previously served as senators and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, will join Senator Coronada Villafranco to complete the opposition side in the senate. Their appointment will come into effect after the Governor General’s approval and signature.
