Date of elections will announce next week, says P.M.
The date of general elections will be announced next week. That’s the gospel according to the Belize Times. In its issue that hit the streets this morning, the P.U.P. party newspaper ended its lead story by saying that Prime Minister Said Musa had informed them of this via telephone on Wednesday night. Coupled with the P.M.’s earlier pronouncement that the election will be held “before March”, along with the constitutionally mandated four weeks notice and the tradition of voting on a Wednesday … you are left with four possible dates: February sixth, thirteenth, twentieth, or twenty-seventh. So take your pick … and be on the lookout next week.
