Gospel concert to rock Bird’s Isle on Saturday night
It is six months overdue, but in the entertainment business, the show must go on, which is why organisers of a weekend concert are eager to start the music. The gospel singing is set for Saturday night at the Bird’s Isle and is a New Beginning Productions event featuring Belizean Michael “Mikal” Evans and Bahamian Andrew Carter, a.k.a. “Mr. Lynx.” This afternoon both artists stopped by our outdoor studio to preview the show.
Michael “Mikal” Evans, Singer
“It’s the event of the year. We put in so much planning into this event. The entire process of the concert is going to be so dynamic, Mr. Lynx has a lot to offer, he has a lot to bring to it and as well the New Beginnings Production crew because we work as a crew. And it’s just gonna be a family night; every time families complain, where can we go, what is there to do, where can I go with my son or my daughter or the entire family. This is it. Come out, bring the entire family, we’re gonna have different styles to suit the granny, the grandpa, right down to the little toddlers. And so my thing is just come out and have some fun, clean, decent fun and be motivate and be encouraged and have something to look forward to for the New Year.”

“What can people expect of you this Saturday?”
Andrew “Lynx” Carter, Singer
“Fiah! They can expect a good time because anytime I come to do shows I don’t like to sing to myself. Me as a person who like to go to concerts, I never like how people just sing and be like (stands still) that don’t work with me, I like people who relate to the craft. See because the bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word, but we all know that attraction is the key to people listening or purchasing or seeing anything; they have to be attracted to it. In order for a man to date a woman he has to be attracted to her first. Attraction is the first rule in everything in life. Even for you to be attracted to God you gotta know of him to attract to him and say, hey I wanna know more and get more in depth. So that’s what I come to do, attract them to the gospel, but give them in a jiggy way, put it like that.”
Tickets are available at Integrity Radio and Creations Gift and Music for ten dollars each. The concert starts at seven, with Lynx scheduled to take the stage at ten.
