Drunken man attacked, stabbed on Boxing Day
Walking home drunk is a better idea than driving home drunk, but a Belize City resident is tonight hospitalised after two attackers took advantage of his inebriation on Boxing Day. According to police, an intoxicated John Loredo was at the corner of Poinsetta and Jasmine streets around eleven-thirty that night when two men jumped him. The thirty-three year old tried to run, but fell and that’s when he says one of the assailants stabbed him in the right side of his chest. When police arrived, the weapon was still imbedded in the victim’s torso and he was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where doctors surgically removed the knife. If you have any information that may lead to the arrest of the two suspects, please contact the nearest police station.
