Tonight two of the three men police believe attacked a woman and her two young sons are behind bars while a third is still at large. Today twenty-eight year old Delbert Hinds and seventeen year old Ryan Neal appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers where they were arraigned on charges of Aggravated Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Burglary. The duo were denied bail and remanded to Hattieville Prison until January seventeenth. The third suspect in the case, Hubert “Kid” Velasquez, has yet to be detained and anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to please contact the nearest police station. Hinds, Neal and Velasquez are believed to be the three men who entered the Santana Village home of Monica Mendez around one-thirty on the morning of December eighth. According to Mendez, after her attackers stole almost fifteen hundred dollars in cash, a shotgun, jewellery, and assorted equipment, she and her children were bound with tape and threatened with death. The woman managed to escape and find help and her sons were later found safe and sound. According to investigators, four other men, including two cousins of the victim’s husband, are still being sought in connection with the incident.
