Brandon Paz Also behind bars, but for aggravated assault
Twenty year old Brandon Paz is also behind bars tonight for aggravated assault, but with a firearm. Paz appeared before Magistrate Albert Hoare this morning and was charged in connection with an attack on twenty-four year old Claude Lopez, which occurred on June twenty-eighth. He pleaded not guilty, but a firearm offense automatically lands him in jail for at least ninety days. Lopez reported to police that he was at home, when Paz showed up, pointed a gun at him and said “next time di gun wah talk.” According to Lopez, he did not take the threat lightly and immediately filed a report. Paz is to reappear before Magistrate Hoare on August twenty-second and in the meantime, he has the option of applying for bail at the Supreme Court with the assistance of an attorney.
