Murder defendant cops a plea to manslaughter
Fifty-five year old Arthur Arnold, a cart delivery man charged with Murder and Attempted Murder, pleaded guilty to Manslaughter and Use of Deadly Means of Harm with intent to Commit Dangerous Harm when he appeared today in the courtroom of Justice Adolph Lucas. Sentencing was deferred until Thursday to give Arnold’s attorney, Linsbert Willis, time to prepare a mitigation plea. The killing occurred on the night of September eighth, 2006 at the Neal Pen Road home of the deceased, nineteen year old Jermaine Arnold, who was Arthur’s step-son. Jermaine was stabbed to death when he tried to intervene as Arthur was attacking his intended victim, Randolph Gibson, in what appeared to be a fit of jealousy.
