Orange Walk student wins regional police award
A fourth form student of Orange Walk Technical High who happens to be the daughter of a Woman Police Constable is the 2007 recipient of a ten thousand-dollar scholarship courtesy of Motorola and the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police. Eighteen year old Denise Logan, daughter of P.C. Leticia Lambey, was chosen from among a number of other applicants from A.C.C.P. member countries. Logan’s selection makes it the second time that Belize has won an award from the Association. The first was earned by the Yabra Community Project. Logan will formally receive her prize shortly when A.C.C.P. official, John McGee, visits Belize.
