3 men in a Dodge Ram with marijuana
Also in court, a taxi driver and two George Street residents were all charged with Drug Trafficking after they were found inside a Dodge Ram with marijuana hidden under the driver’s seat. Twenty-six year Brian Herrera, aka “Bido”, eighteen year old Albert Fuentes and forty-six year old Clarence Lino were arraigned this morning in courtroom of Magistrate Albert Hoare. Lino, the driver of the vehicle, pleaded guilty and explained that Herrera and Fuentes had no connection to the drugs. Magistrate Hoare also raised concerns as to whether Lino was benefiting financially from the drug trade, but there was evidence to that end. A fine of ten thousand dollars was imposed and it is to be paid by September twentieth. If he defaults, Lino faces three years imprisonment. Meanwhile, Lino and Fuentes remain in police custody until they can settle outstanding fines owed to the court. The arrest was made at around four-thirty p.m. on Tuesday when police searched Lino’s vehicle and found the suspected cannabis in a plastic bag under the seat.
