Suspect detained in St. Margaret’s murder

While investigators are trying to piece the puzzle together in Ladyville, their colleagues in Belmopan are working to solve another homicide that occurred along on the Hummingbird Highway in the early morning hours of Monday. Reports are that around three-thirty a.m., the body of St. Margaret’s villager Clementine Enriquez Junior was discovered lying in a pool of his own blood in front of Jaclyn’s Bar. Initial investigations have revealed that Enriquez, better known as Diablo, was no stranger to the art of brawling. But on the night in question, he had been socializing with two other men at the bar when it appears he fell asleep. And that’s the opportunity his attacker used to drop a large stone on the twenty-seven year old’s head. Enriquez was knocked unconscious and was bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan but officials there pronounced him dead on arrival. A Guatemalan resident of the village, thirty-five year old Alejandro Hernandez, is in police custody pending a charge of murder.
