Former government accountant homeless and ill

Seventy-six year old Rupert “Jack” Frost is a former accountant for the government. But these days, Frost has fallen victim to hard times and needs urgent help. He is penniless, ill and homeless and no one wants to take him in, not even the relevant government agency. Earlier today, a family friend, Karen White, made a public appeal for assistance.

“Right now, Mr. Frost is sick and he is living in a deplorable condition and I’m trying to get help to move him from where he is living. So, I went to Sister Cecilia’s home this morning and when I went there, I was informed by Ms. Rose that I need to go to human service. So I did. And when I went to human service, they are giving me the run around. I spoke to Miss Hamilton and she said to me “even if we move him from there, where are we going to put him?” And I’m like, isn’t there some place you can put this person who needs help, you know? The man cannot see well, he cannot hear well, he cannot walk and the way he is living; there is no bathroom facilities, there is no water, no light. He really needs the attention A.S.A.P.”

“Does Mister Frost have any family or anything in Belize that could probably help?”

“Not that I know of. All his family lives in the states. The niece is the one that contacted me and they had it that he passed away. And when I went looking for him, he was nowhere in the hospital. I couldn’t find him nor his body and so I received report that he was at his house and when I went there I saw what was going on in the house.”
