Special Olympians head for Guatemala
For the rest of the week, a Belizean delegation will be in Rehultaleu Guatemala taking part in the first Central American Games for Students with Disabilities. According to Special Olympics Belize, the team of twenty-three athletes and their coaches and chaperons left yesterday to compete against an estimated five hundred young men and women from Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala in various track and field events. The competition begins tomorrow and will end on December first.
