House burns to the ground

A recently vacated house on the Central American Boulevard went up in flames early this morning. The Fire Department received the report of the blaze at around two-thirty-five this morning and they were on the scene in a record three minutes. But the speedy response still could not save the two storey wooden and concrete structure. According to fire officials, the wooden upper flat of the building was already engulfed in flames when they arrived. The blaze was extinguished, but nothing was saved. Fortunately, the family that resided there relocated in July and did not lose any household items. The house was owned by Juanita Staine, who currently resides in the United States. Her sister, Betty Perez, was the caretaker. Investigations continue to determine what caused the unoccupied house to burn.
