The Friday night shooting victims lucky to be alive
To add to the spate of crime over the weekend, there were two separate shootings on Friday night. The first incident took place at the corner of Vernon and Santa Barbara Streets where thirty year old Michael Hemmans was shot to the hand, buttocks, hip and grazed on the forearm. Hemmans was securing his vehicle when a man fired multiple shots. Hemmans, luckily was not severely injured and was treated and discharged from the K.H.M.H. In the second incident, around nine o’clock, also on Friday night, eighteen year old Albert Robinson was shot to the right side of the abdomen. Reports are that a single gunshot was heard in the area and shortly after Robinson was discovered along with his bike in front of La Catracha Bar on Barrack Road. Robinson remains hospitalized in a stable condition.
