San Pedro mom charged with neglect

While Belmopan police say they do not suspect foul play in the death of Baby Indira Chiquin, they have charged a San Pedro mother for neglect after her three young children were found home alone. According to authorities, around seven on Friday night after they received information they visited the home of twenty-seven year old Maggie Sheng and inside her house, situated on Coco Plum Street in the San Pablo Area, they found the two brothers and sister ages, five, seven and nine. The siblings were escorted to the station where Sheng later visited and stated that the children were hers. Police say she was then informed of the offence she had committed and detained. The children were then released into the custody of a Justice of the Peace and a social worker.
