Belize making strong showing in Miss Earth 2007

In pageant news, on Sunday ninety beauty queens from around the world will take to centre stage in Manila, Philippines for Miss Earth 2007. This is the first time Belize is participating the event and the country is being represented by former Miss Belize, Leilah Pandy. According to reports coming out of the competition, following the preliminary long gown category earlier this week, Pandy is considered a strong contender in the event. She is also leading the polls for the People’s Choice Award with thirty-one percent of the votes. Her strongest competitors are Miss Albania with nineteen percent, Nicaragua with twelve percent, and Singapore with eleven percent.
