Trick or treaters receive medicine instead of candy
It may not be fatal but a report from San Ignacio indicates that instead of Halloween sweets, one household in that town was dispensing heart medicine. The flavoured substance, wrapped in white paper with green Spanish writing, was handed out to children somewhere in the area below the Cahal Pech hill. Parents are asked to carefully check the items collected by their children, as the medicine could be harmful, particularly to infants.
