Reecie Pollard is Ultimate Karaoke Queen

Belize has a new queen tonight. No, Elizabeth the second is still very much alive; the royalty I’m talking about is the Queen of Belizean Karaoke. The winner of Channel Five’s Ultimate KTV competition was announced last night before a standing room only crowd at the Bliss. Prior to the announcement the show’s usual format was turned topsy turvy as the host and judges became the performers.

With the crowd sufficiently primed it was time for the part that everyone came to see.

“Alright. The winner of Ultimate KTV…is none other than… Reecie Pollard [Crowd Cheering Loudly].”

Reecie Pollard took home the cheque for ten thousand dollars while runner up Melonie Gillett received an iPhone and round trip ticket to Los Angeles. Finalists Herbert Wiltshire and Angelo Fabro earned five hundred dollars cash plus assorted gifts. A special judges’ award was presented to Jazel Pascascio as the best first time K.T.V. performer.
