Twelve year old shoots seven year old friend in foot
Seven year old Shawn Flores is home tonight recovering from a pellet wound he received after the young boy was accidentally shot by a twelve year old friend. The children, who reside in Dangriga, were at the residence of twenty-five year old Aaron Nolberto. Police report that the older child, who is mentally challenged, took a sixteen gauge shotgun, licensed to Nolberto, and fired a shot which caught young Flores in his right foot. The boy was treated at the Southern Regional Hospital while the twelve year old was released in the care of his mother.
