Man stabs himself while receiving treatment at the Western Regional Hospital
Theirs is a disturbing report coming out of the Western Regional Hospital. Shortly before eleven-thirty this afternoon sixty-six year old Zedekiah Holland was receiving treatment at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit when he inflicted a stab wound on himself in the presence of hospital staff and another patient. Prior to this incident, Holland was experiencing respiratory distress and complained of trouble breathing and pain in the chest area. Holland reportedly began to display signs of aggressiveness towards an attending nurse and shortly after the patient broke a window louver threatening the staff and before he could’ve been subdued he collapsed and managed to stab himself in the chest. A release was issued late this evening by the press office stating that “The nurse and attendant did not initially react because Mr. Holland threatened their lies. They attempted to get additional assistance from other staffers including security.” Holland was later taken into the operating theatre at Western Regional Hospital and later transferred to the KHMH. Holland was hospitalized at the Western Regional Hospital since Saturday October first.
