One of four escaped prisoners captured
One of four prisoners who escaped from Hattieville prison earlier this month has been captured. Twenty-seven year old Terry Bainton was apprehended shortly after noon on Sunday as the result of a police raid on a house in Belize City. According to police press officer Bart Jones, based on a tip, officers entered a residence at number five Antelope Street looking for drugs … and while they did not find any, they did seek identification of all those found on the premises. Bainton originally gave police a false name but his I.D. was later questioned and his true identity discovered. Bainton was taken into custody and will be charged with escape. He was already serving an eleven year sentence for burglary. The three other inmates who escaped along with Bainton in the early morning of October fourteenth are Allan Cal, Rupert Manzanero and Gilbert Requena. Police report that Bainton has not offered any information on the whereabouts of his former cellmates.
