Corozal death may have been murder
Details remain sketchy but police have made plans to exhume the remains of a Corozal resident so investigators can determine whether he was murdered. For four days, seventy-seven year old security guard Enrique Lino had been hospitalized, first in Corozal, then at the K.H.M.H. in Belize City. When he died last Friday, the body was transported back to Corozal and buried. But information reaching police is that Lino had been badly beaten by two men and may have succumbed to those injuries. Once the body is unearthed, officials will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
