Y.E.S. donates stationery to needy children
This morning Youth Enhancement Services handed over exercise books and pencils to four primary schools in the Belize District for distribution to children in need. According to Outreach Coordinator at Y.E.S., Greta Jenkins, the contribution is made possible through funding from UNICEF and HIVOS.

“We found by doing outreach that a lot of the schools some of the children do not have exercise books and pencils by talking to the teachers, noh, so we decided to give them a little assistance in providing them with seventy exercise books and pencils.”

According to Y.E.S. the donation is valued at nineteen hundred dollars. A total of twelve schools will benefit from the stationery drive. Y.E.S. also conducts advocacy training for young girls who are victims of sexual and other forms of abuse.
