He hacked with an axe but was stabbed by a knife
A man lies wounded in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital with a stab wound inflicted by a man he reportedly assaulted. Ellison Lewis told police that around ten-fifteen last night, he was at his home on North Creek Road when thirty-seven year old Ruben Cox, a construction worker who lives on the same street, attacked him with an axe. Lewis said he defended himself with a knife and as a result Cox was stabbed to the left side of the chest and upper back. He remains in a stable condition. Police say the motive behind the original assault was a misunderstanding between the two men when Cox and Lewis lived at the same address. Following the falling out, Cox reportedly moved out and up the street. Police say that upon his recovery, Cox will be charged with Aggravated Assault.
