Toledo man wins big at Courts
A lucky Punta Gorda man is in the money tonight after he was declared the winner of the Courts “Stash of Cash” promotion. This morning Courts Marketing Manager Camilla Hunt presented a check for twenty-five thousand dollars to Thomas Teul. According to the furniture and appliance emporium, earlier this year Teul spent just over three thousand dollars on a printer and scanner and he used tickets from that purchase to enter the draw. Still shocked by his good luck, Teul says he hasn’t decided what to do with the money.
Thomas Teul, Courts Winner
“I’m not certain yet but there is a lot of things that I have in my mind that I want to do in my future and one of them is pursuing my education so that is something I have in my mind right now but there are other things that I can also do but I definitely want to use it wisely.”
Six other Belizeans also scored big in the promotion and tonight they are probably watching this newscast on flat screen televisions. That’s right, David Correa from San Pedro, Valdemir Carillo of Trial Farm, Bullet Tree resident Elvira Vargas, Cotton Tree villager Orlando Barrera, Roy Herrera from Hopkins Village, and Gloria Fritz of Lord’s Bank all won new TVs from Courts. If you missed out this time around, Courts says they have already started issuing tickets in the raffle of a Mitsubishi pickup truck. Customers will be given three tickets for every fifty dollars spent in the store.
