Store robber served time in remand
Another accused thief was in court today for allegedly robbing a Chinese storeowner and his customers at gunpoint this past Saturday night. Police believe that thirty-three year old Sandhill resident, Denver Stuart, was one of two armed men that robbed businessman Jie Liaj Penj of a thousand dollars in cash. The gunmen also stole a cell phone and cash from one customer and police are still investigating to determine whether additional charges will be levied for items stolen from other patrons. Stuart appeared unrepresented before Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer and he pleaded not guilty to Robbery. He was remanded to prison since the offence was committed with a firearm and his next court appearance is set for December twentieth.
