U.S. fugitive returned to states
Last Thursday Belize police escorted yet another American fugitive back to the United States. He has been identified as thirty five year old Ivan Myburch. According to authorities, Corozal police were on highway patrol near the Santa Elena Border Station when they saw a man pushing a bicycle and acting suspiciously. The man was detained and that is when cops discovered that their suspect did not have any legal travel documents. He was taken to the police station and both the Belize Immigration and U.S Embassy officials were informed. Further checks reveal that Myburch is wanted in Kiowa County, Colorado, for several counts of sexual assault and aggravated assault upon his own child. Seven days after being in police custody, On September twentieth Ivan Myburch in the company of two officers from the Corozal police formation escorted the fugitive back to the U.S from the Philip Goldson International Airport. Police say they strongly believe that Myburch illegally entered the country on September thirteenth, the same day he was caught by crossing the Rio Hondo.
