Police constable arrested for carnal knowledge

The police have arrested yet another one of their own. This time constable Juan Pop stationed in Dangriga has been charged with Carnal Knowledge. The arrest follows a report made by a fourteen year old girl who told authorities that on May twenty third while she was in custody at the police station waiting to be transported to the Youth Hostel, P.C Pop had sexual intercourse with her against her will.

Last Thursday, Pop appeared in Dangriga Magistrates’ Court where no plea was taken. Pop was granted bail in the amount of five thousand dollars plus a surety of the same amount which he met. He is scheduled to reappear on October twenty ninth.
