Hit & run victim remains unidentified

An unidentified man who was knocked down in a road traffic accident in southern Belize last week has reportedly succumbed to his injuries. The man, described as a Hispanic, was found lying on the Southern Highway shortly before two on Independence Day morning. A damaged silver bicycle was lying near him. He was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital and later to the K.H.M.H. where he died around three on Sunday morning. He had suffered severe facial, head and body injuries and police say he was unconscious when they found him. Police believe he was the victim of a hit and run incident and need your help to identify him. The man was around five feet four inches in height with long curly hair, and had the words “Lydia I love you” tattooed on his right leg.
