Eight Belizeans receive O.A.S. Scholarships
Eight more Belizean students have received scholarships to further their education through the Organization of American States. Tisa Grant is pursuing a bachelors degree in healthcare administration in the United States, while Francisco Gonzalez is taking up computer science also in the U.S.A. At the graduate level Enrique Caliz is pursuing his masters degree in Computer Science in Canada and Melanie Smith Santiago is doing a masters in sociology in the States. Ritamae Hyde is specializing in heritage studies at the masters level in Jamaica and Osmer Balam is taking up his masters in education in Canada. Two of the scholars, who will pursue doctorates, will begin their courses in January. They are Mauro Gongora who will study marine science in Mexico and Rosemarie Modera who will study education in the United States.
