Cox charged for throwing cigarette at teen
A Fisherman of the Conch Shell Bay area is facing criminal charges after he reportedly lost his temper during an argument with a seventeen year old girl on Sunday. Twenty-one year old Luke Cox was charged with Harm when he appeared before Magistrate Sharon Frazer today. The teenager alleges that she was at a Chinese grocery store at around nine p.m. when Cox and a group of friends started yelling obscenities at her. She claims that an argument ensued with Cox, who was smoking a cigarette, which he threw at her. The cigarette fell into her clothes and burnt the alleged victim on her chest. In court, Cox pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail of one thousand dollars. He is due back in court on February first, 2012.
