Bowen & Bowen employee beaten badly
A Bowen & Bowen employee was the victim of a brutal beat down on Freetown Road last Friday. Twenty-six year old Kenrick August is still hospitalized at the KHMH and tonight his alleged attacker is behind bars. Late Monday evening, in the courtroom of Magistrate Roberto Ordonez, thirty year old boat captain, Andy Hernandez was read a single charge of Grievous Harm. Hernandez pleaded not guilty to the charge and an objection to bail, submitted by the court prosecutor, was upheld. Magistrate Ordonez ordered that Hernandez is to be remanded to prison and reappear in court on December thirtieth. August reported to police that he had just made a purchase at a store on Freetown Road at around eight-thirty and as he headed to his vehicle, he was attacked from behind. He claims that Hernandez hit him with an aluminum bat on the elbow, shoulder and ribs. August was rushed to the KHMH where he underwent surgery for a broken rib cage.
