Santa’s KHMH Gifts Via Business Community
This morning three hundred patients as well as people sitting in the lobby of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital received an early visit from Santa Claus. That’s because thirty local businesses teamed up with the K.H.M.H. and Santa to distribute the care packages. News Five spoke with K.H.M.H. Public Relations Officer Sheena Garnett for further details.

“Today we’re distributing care packages to all patients in the hospital. We are also giving out care packages to those who are in the lobby as well. It’s Christmas. People will be here over the weekend. With different items. We have separated according to units. For the pediatric unit, toys male and female we have baby powder, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush. For the adults we have, visors, there basic toiletries- toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste and of course they are getting the bag western union donated 300 bags to us. So everyone here is etting there care packages here in the bag. We had over 33 donors from the business community; we also had some individuals who had patients in the hospital that wanted to donate to us, so it was both personal and business donor that we have we have.”
