Council of Churches Christmas Message
2012 is on the horizon, but before the year winds down, there’s Christmas and the birth of Christ to celebrate. And though many persons may be focused on the merrymaking and gift giving, the President of the Council of Churches tonight tells viewers not to forget the true meaning of Christmas.
Canon LeRoy Flowers, President, Council of Churches
“First of all I’d like to wish all Belizean and those across TV land a very blessed peaceful and joyous Christmas tide. We need to be mindful of why we are celebrating it is God’s greatest gift to mankind. Because basically one God still loves us and in loving us he has forgiven us. And so in forgiving us he has
sent his only son to be born at this time and so it is our prayer that all Belizeans
and all visitors to our country will have a very wonderful Christmas tide sharing
the love and forgiveness with family and friends and truly making this season a
very blessed one indeed Merry Christmas to one and all.”
