Cops seek suspect in Belmopan mother’s murder
In news just in from Belmopan, authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in connection to the gruesome killing of a Belmopan woman. According to investigators, twenty-one year old Efrian Santiago is the man responsible for the murder of twenty three year old Velma Copo. Copo was stabbed twenty nine times and her throat slit by an attacker in her home in the San Martin area of Belmopan around four-thirty last Wednesday afternoon. Her two children, aged three and eighteen months, are believed to have been witnesses to the crime.
