Woman claims brutality by cop husband
A twenty-six year old mother of two claimed she was victim of police brutality but soon the tables turned on her and she was charged with Assaulting a Policeman whilst in his Uniform. Victoria Wade, a domestic of Sand Hill Village, alleges that she was beaten up by a police officer of the Sand Hill Police Station on Monday in the presence of her four year old daughter. But when Wade appeared in court today, she pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered a bail of one thousand dollars by Magistrate Aretha Ford. Wade is to reappear in court on October third. According to Wade, she and her common-law-husband had a domestic dispute, he stoned her to the back of the head and caused a large cut wound. According to the woman when she sought help at the Sand Hill Police Station, the officer refused to take her statement. Wade alleged that the officer then grabbed her by the neck, threw her to the floor and began kicking her in the stomach.
