Will charges be upgraded for Anthony Major’s death?
Anthony Major, aka “King” of Pink’s Alley was shot and left paralyzed for over a year until Boxing Day when he passed away. The alleged shooter, thirty-one year old Chadrick Tingling, was charged on December first, 2010 with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. This morning, Tingling appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer but according to the court prosecutor, the file has been sent to the DPP’s officer for a decision on whether the charges will be upgraded to Murder. Tingling is to return to court on February twenty-third. It is not certain at this time whether the cause of death was as a result of the gunshot injuries Major sustained in the 2010 shooting. Major was shot in the neck on November twenty-sixth, 2010, at the corner of Card’s Alley and Fredrick Street; not far from his home.
