Fire destroys 3 homes in San Pedro
Over the weekend, a fire destroyed three houses in San Pedro Town. On Saturday around eleven-thirty a.m., police and fire officials of the island were called out to the DFC area, where three structures were engulfed in flames. According to reports, the main structure, a two level wooden and concrete house was occupied by twenty-four year old Lorena Moralez and her four children. Fire officials have since determined that the fire originated from Moralez home. The minors, it was discovered, were playing with fire which started the blaze. Moralez’ home and two neighboring plywood buildings were completely destroyed by fire. All buildings were occupied, but none were insured. Another structure sustained damages to portions of the building.
