Accident on boulevard claims life

A construction worker was hit by a van on Wednesday as he rode his bicycle on the sidewalk on Central American Boulevard. According to police twenty-eight year old Solemni Chun was behind the wheel of the Astro Van and when he attempted to overtake another vehicle on the right side of the road, he lost control. Chun drove onto the sidewalk and knocked down forty-four year old Roberto Thomas Rivero, a resident of mile sixteen and a quarter on the Northern Highway. Rivero suffered severe injuries to the body and was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. He passed away just before eleven o’clock on Wednesday night.
