Fabers Road resident charged for burglarizing her neighbor’s home

Janine Lord

A Fabers Road woman was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this morning for an alleged burglary at the home of her neighbor. Twenty-four year old Janine Lord appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith and pleaded not guilty to a single charge of burglary.  Lord is accused of entering the residence of Camisha Clarke on Wednesday and damaging a twenty inch television.  Before the charge was fully read in court, Clarke asked for a chance to speak and said that all she wanted was compensation for the damaged TV. But the Chief Magistrate explained that the matter is now in the jurisdiction of the police.  There was no objection to bail, which was granted to Lord in the sum of one thousand dollars. She was, however, unable to meet bail and remains in police custody.
