Gas station robbed of $500
The loot was much smaller for three thieves who got away with over five hundred dollars during an armed hold-up at the Shell Gas Station between miles eight and nine on the Northern Highway. The incident happened just after the busy lunch hour today and no one was hurt, but it shook up management and employees enough to decline on camera interviews. Ladyville Police have no suspects, but they have incriminating evidence that they feel will lead them to the thieves. They are relying on a tape retrieved from video cameras at the establishment.
Sgt. Solomon Marin, Deputy O.C., Ladyville Police Station
“Three male persons, dark skinned, went by the said gas station. Three of them had on dark T-shirt along with dark pants. One of them pulled out a handgun, two went inside the gas station whilst one of the male persons stood outside. One of them who was inside robbed the cashier of three hundred and sixty-nine dollars Belizean currency. Thereafter they came out of the gas station and one of them stole a hundred and ninety-five dollars from the male gas attendant and they fled the scene. And they fled running away from the scene towards Vista del Mar area.”
News Five has learnt that this was the second attack against the gas station in as many years. We’ve also been told that at least one of the culprits lives in the Ladyville area.
