AK47 discovered in abandoned yard
In news from the police blotter, an evening raid in a Belize City yard has resulted in the seizure of a high powered weapon and ammunition. According to cops, an anonymous tipster phoned in and suggested officers search an abandoned lot on Kraal Road. Around six Thursday evening members of the Crimes Investigation Unit set about carefully scrutinising the area and uncovered an AK-47, twenty-seven rounds of ammunition, and a backpack containing three parcels of weed. No arrests have been made in connection to the discovery.
