Tourist accuses D.J. of rape

A Belize City hotelier and D.J. has been arrested and charged with rape following the report of a female tourist. According to the eighteen year old American, on Tuesday night she and her sister checked into the Red Hut Inn in Bella Vista. But after getting settled, the victim says she and her sibling started drinking with the business owner, thirty-seven year old Louis Leiva, also known as DJ Whiz, and his wife. The teenager admits that when she eventually made it back to her room she was inebriated and immediately fell asleep. But around two the following morning, the visitor alleges that she woke up and she felt Leiva on top of her having sex with her against her will. Police sources tell News Five that the accused has admitted engaging in intercourse with the woman, but claims it was consensual.
