Safiyyah finds weekend entertainment and Turtle Inn

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s happening Belize? This is the last weekend in August and there are plenty of activities to do all over, from North to South.

Starting with Dangriga for this Friday night, Hamalali Radio will be having a Kareoke competition followed by a dance featuring the Punta Rebels and Chico Ramos. This will all be taking place inside Club Malibu. There will be lots of giveaways and specials all night long.

There will also be a concert held this Friday night inside Y- Not Island. This will feature Nuru & Friends, Mohobob Flores, Silas Sabal and many others, including the Delille Academy Choir. The show will begin at seven p.m. There will be lots of giveaways, as well as food and drinks on sale. This is being held in order to raise funds for the Delille Academy music program.

In Belmopan Over Time Fridays will be held inside Barrio Fino. This bash will feature will feature Cloud Nine Sound and other guest DJs.

And up north in Orange Walk, Magnets Lounge will be having a Mardi Gras themed party this Friday. All ladies enter free before midnight. And all ladies get a free double Shot at the door and males will receive a free rum and coke.

On Saturday night inside Magnets in Orange Walk, they will be having Champion Bubbla competition. The winner will take home over five hundred in cash and prizes. There will also be balloon drop.

In Fyaah Wata night club on Saturday there will be the after party for Smart’s Quick fingers Competition. Music will be provided by Cloud Nine, Stone Jam and others. Also in Cayo in Saturday, the Queen of the West competition will be held at six-thirty at the Novelo’s Convention Center in Santa Elena. There will be six lovely ladies vying for the title and a dance will immediately follow.

Here in the city on Saturday night, there will be a concert featuring Dead Strangers and Some Dudes inside the Perky Parrot. The concert begins at nine p.m., so go check it out.

And on Sunday here in the city on Sunday there will be an Auto show from midday to nine p.m. at the B.T.L. Park. There will be over two thousand dollars in cash prizes. There will be music in the park provided by Belizean Movements, Mr. Frisco, Dignitariz and others. There will be food and drinks on sale and there is no charge to enter the park.

Its not one hot summer anymore, but that doesn’t mean you don’t still need a vacation so check out Turtle Inn, a perfect spot for a weekend getaway…..
