One dead, one injured in separate traffic mishaps

Traffic accidents over the weekend have left a man dead and a woman critically injured. Around three on Saturday morning twenty year old Randy Ramclam drove his pickup truck into a parked car in Independence Village causing the pickup to turn over. Ramclam was thrown out of the vehicle on impact and was crushed when it overturned. Ramclam was dead on arrival at the village clinic.

In Belize City, seventeen year old Charlene Pakeman of Tigris Street was severely injured when she was knocked down after getting off a bus on the Northern Highway. According to police reports, sometime after ten on Sunday morning Pakeman was let off near the Biltmore Plaza Hotel but was hit by a red Ford car as it overtook the bus. Police have arrested forty-eight year old Anthony Blair of Egbert Quilter Avenue in Ladyville and charged him with Negligent Grievous Harm and Driving Without Due Care and Attention. Pakeman remains in critical but stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
