Fleet footed cop collars bike thief

Meanwhile, another incident in Dangriga today involving a bicycle had a happier ending … at least for police. The story features fast feet and two women on opposite sides of the law. According to officers, around one-thirty this afternoon, a mobile patrol unit witnessed a reputed crack head stealing a student’s bicycle. The victim immediately yelled for help and as the female thief tried to burn rubber, one of the cops, W.P.C. Rosheeda Vernon, jumped out of the vehicle, ran down the culprit, and recovered the beach cruiser. The twenty-seven year old bike thief is now cooling her heels in the Dangriga police station’s detention cell pending charges.
