Handling stolen goods charges dropped against Glenn Tillett and daughter
While Akeem Thurton will spend many years in jail, journalist and talk show host, Glenn Tillett is home free. Charges for handling stolen goods against Tillett were dropped today. Tillett along with this daughter Katyce Flowers were charged seven months ago when a stolen computer and accessories were found at the house of Rhenae Nunez, Tillett’s common-law-wife. When the case was called up this morning, there was no representative from the Salvadoran Embassy from where the items were stolen to testify. Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer struck out the matter and told the two accused, Tillett and Flowers, that they need not return since the prosecution is offering no evidence against them. Tillett and Flowers were represented by Attorney Arthur Saldivar. When he was charged back in August 2010, Tillett gave a nationwide statement maintaining his innocence and stating that he had no idea that the items were taken to the house allegedly by Nunez’s nephew, Tyrel Hyde.
